Fatima
In 1917 Our Lady appeared to three children, Lucia, Francisco and Jacinta, at Fatima, Portugal. She warned that, because of the numerous sins committed by mankind, many souls were falling into Hell and there would be terrible chastisements visited upon the world in the form of war, famine and persecution of the Church, but that this could be averted if her requests were heeded.

The Blessed Mother urged people to pray (especially the Rosary), and do penance, for the conversion of sinners, and to make reparation for sin. She asked that the Pope consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart, and that by this means the world would have peace.
​
The authenticity of the apparition was confirmed by the miracle of the sun, witnessed by over 70,000 people, and it was approved by the Church in 1930 and endorsed by subsequent popes.

A Complete Account of the Fatima Apparitions
Father de Marchi spent hours and days researching for this book on location. He spoke at length to many witnesses including Ti Marto, the father of Jacinta and Francisco, as well as with Maria Carreira, one of the most important witnesses who first came to the Cova da Iria for the apparition of June 13, 1917. Most of the witnesses he interviewed are now dead. This book is a classic of Fatima literature. Over three million copies have been printed in English alone since it was first written.

The Consecration of Russia
“I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart…If people attend to My requests, Russia will be converted and the world will have peace.”
​
In the apparition of July 13, Our Lady warned the three seers that if people did not stop offending God, He would punish the world “by means of war, hunger and persecution of the Church and of the Holy Father,” using Russia as His chosen instrument of chastisement. She told the children that “to prevent this, I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart” and promised that, by this single public act, Russia would be converted and peace would be given to the world...

What We Must Do
Our Lady of Fatima asked all Catholics to do five things:

Amend our lives – She warned that many souls are going to hell and said: “They (sinners) must amend their lives and ask pardon for their sins. Do not offend the Lord our God any more, for He is already too much offended.” Those who are not already in the state of grace must go to Confession and return to the state of grace and lead truly Catholic lives.

Pray the Rosary every day – She said: “Pray! Pray a great deal and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to hell because they have no one to pray and make sacrifices for them.”

Offer sacrifices for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of souls – including offering up the sacrifices of our daily duty. Our Lady said: “Make sacrifices for sinners, and say often, especially while making a sacrifice: ‘O My Jesus, it is for love of Thee, for the conversion of sinners and in reparation for sins committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I offer this sacrifice to Thee’.”

Make the Five First Saturdays Communion of Reparation – Our Lady said: “I promise to assist at the moment of death, with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who on the First Saturday of 5 consecutive months, 1) Confess, 2) Receive Holy Communion, 3) Pray 5 decades of the Rosary (one set of mysteries), 4) keep Me company for 15 minutes, while meditating on the 15 mysteries of the Rosary, all with the intention of making reparation to My Immaculate Heart.”

Wear the Brown Scapular – In the final apparition on October 13, 1917, Our Lady silently held out the Brown Scapular. Sister Lucy explained that the Blessed Mother wants everyone to wear the Brown Scapular, and said “the scapular and the Rosary are inseparable.” Wear the Brown Scapular as a sign of personal consecration.

We at UK Prays also believe it is a good idea to write to your local Bishop to ask them to join with the Ukrainian Bishops in asking the Pope to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

I understand that your brother bishops, who comprise the Episcopal Conference of The Ukraine, have made a heartfelt plea to the Holy Father to consecrate Russia/Ukraine (which was part of Russia when the original request was made) by name to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, precisely as Our Holy Mother requested at Fatima.
​
I am writing to ask that you and the Hierarchy of England and Wales add your voice to theirs in the hope that this intervention will prevent military escalation and war spreading in Europe and the whole world.
